Pharmacy professor faces no penalty for beating student

A College of Pharmacy professor accused of beating a student in November was allowed to resign from the University without repercussions last month.

According to documents obtained by The Red & Black, a University committee decided June 18 to terminate the employment of Christopher Shawn Holaway, a clinical assistant professor accused of punching doctoral student Philip Almeter three times during a homecoming fraternity party.
