Group Home Alone: Former
Group Home member Cannibus,
will release a solo album on
Universal Records. Many may
have recently heard Cannibus get
wreck on the mic on the Lost Boyz
new song, "Beasts from the East",
which landed him a much-
deserved Hip Hop Quotable in
Source magazine. The album
should be hot!
2Pac Sighting: Two years after
his "death," Tupac Shakur makes a
final appearance on the silver
screen in the crime drama, "Gang
Related," which will be released on
October 8th. As expected, Death
Row is producing the soundtrack
that features several unreleased
2Pac songs like "Fortune and
Fame" and a solo effort from Dogg
Pound Gangsta Daz Dillinger, on
the track, "Way Too Major".
Puffy, Rock, Scissors: New
Jack of all trades, Sean "Puffy"
Combs will venture into the rock
music scene with a remix of his
hit, "It's All About the Benjamins,"
by bringing in Foo Fighter Dave
Grohl to play guitar and drums.
Also on the remix is one time
Replacements bassist Tommy
Stinson, and Fuzz Bubble, the first
rock act to sign on Bad Boy
Records. What's next Puff, remix-
ing opera and classical songs?
Top 5 Songs: These are my cur-
rent favorites and heavy rotations
that you should check out: 1) "Put
Ya Hands Where I Can See 'Em"
Busta Rhymes; Busta is back,
wilder than ever. 2) "Holiday" EJ
Tha Witchdoctor; Witchdoctor is
set to continue the Organized
Noize tradition. 3) "So Good"
Davina; One of the best songs on
the Hoodlum soundtrack. 4) "Up
Jumps Da Boogie (Remix)"
Magoo & Timbaland; I love their
Red Light, Green Light rapping
style. 5) "Love In Ya Mouth" Kilo
Ali; If you haven't heard it yet, get
it quick!
