The Lady Bulldogs (2-2) will look to break a four-game losing streak against Clemson today in a 7 p.m. match in Clemson's Jervey Gymnasium.

"They're going to be fired up and ready to come out and beat us."

MARY BUCZEK

Volleyball head coach

Georgia coach Mary Buczek doesn't expect a win against the Lady Tigers to be easy.

"Their backs are going to be against the wall, so they're going to be fired up and ready to come out and beat us," she said. "This will be a tough match. It's a tough place to play at Clemson. They have a great crowd and great support."

Clemson (0-3) lost all three games in this past weekend's Howdy's Pepperdine Classic, falling to No. 8 Pepperdine, Michigan and South Florida.

The Tigers are led by Lori Ashton, who had 34 kills in the first two games of the tournament, and Ryane Beasley. Beasley was a force to be reckoned with in last year's 3-1 win over Georgia in Athens.

The Lady Dogs will need another good outting by Julia Petruschke and Margot Wallace. Petruschke led with her 91 kills last weekend, and Wallace tallied a tournament-high 213 assists.

Jennie Metz enters tonight with a 0.489 hitting percentage, the equivalent to a batting average in baseball.

Defensively, Georgia will need Luresa Forsythe and Rashinda Reed to follow up on last weekend's 54 dig and 23 block performances.

Georgia leads the all-time series 28-10.
