Cioroch ranks No.1 in singles, doubles

After playing three of their last four matches at home, the fifth-ranked Lady Dogs will go to that spring break haven of Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday to face Arkansas (7-5, 0-4). Then it's on to the notorious party town of Baton Rouge for LSU (7-7, 1-3).
The Lady Dogs historically have dominated both the Lady 'Backs and the Lady Tigers, putting up a 12-1 series record with Arkansas and 25-4 against LSU.
During spring break, the Lady Dogs hope to finally get to play in-state rival Georgia Tech on Wednesday, March 19 at 2 p.m.
The No. 28 Lady Yellow Jackets have tried twice to play on the McWhorter Courts, but both dual matches were cancelled because of inclement weather.
Georgia currently boasts the best player in women's collegiate tennis.
Junior Agata Cioroch regained her No. 1 singles ranking in the Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on Wednesday.
Duke's Kelly McCain had knocked Cioroch down to second.
The Warsaw, Poland native also is a part of the nation's top ranked doubles pair with senior Lori Grey.
The Grey-Cioroch duo, which made the jump this week all the way from 18 two weeks ago, has yet to lose in team dual match play.
Cioroch also has gone undefeated in the singles portion of the team dual match season.
Cioroch is only the second Bulldog to ever accomplish the feat of being ranked number one in singles and doubles at the same time.
During the 1998 season, former All-American Marissa Catlin was ranked in the top spot of singles and doubles, along with partner Vanessa Castellano.
