University Police have issued arrest warrants for two University students caught smoking marijuana outside Lipscomb Hall Tuesday.

Jonathan Otto Feuer, 18, of Washington, D.C., and William Boyd Cole, 19, of Thomasville, allegedly were smoking marijuana when University Police officers arrived, according to a University Police report.

"I was just out for a smoke when I saw the police arrive," said Tyler Smith, a sophomore.

Smith said he was questioned by the University Police.

"The cop thought I was with (the students who were smoking marijuana) but he later let me go," he said.

The responding officer met with three individuals, but only two arrest warrants were issued, according to the report.

The responding officer reportedly discovered that the students suspected to be smoking marijuana were in the possession of a green plastic bong and a bag with material suspected to be marijuana, according to the report.

Maj. Jimmy Williamson, assistant University Police chief, said the students were found in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

"We investigate (such) crimes fully before making arrests," Williamson said.

As of press time Tuesday, Feuer and Cole were not in custody, according to Athens-Clarke County Jail officials.

Is smoking marijuana such an evil thing? Can't we all just get a bong?

Isn't it great that non-violent drug offenders can be sent to jail, where they can be sodomized by violent criminals? Sounds like a great correctional process to me!
