After hitting up the bar scene in Paris, two MTV castmates will be trying out an Athens scene.
Adam King and Ace Amerson, best friends who met on “The Real World: Paris,” will be celebrity guest bartenders at Last Call this Saturday.
But bartending is far from new for either of them.
King bartended in college in Malibu, Calif., and Amerson is part owner of a few bars, including The Wooden Nickel, in Statesboro.
“They are his babies — he loves them,” King said. “He always says he is going to move to L.A. or something, but I always just smile and nod my head because he is just a southern boy.”
The two cast members have toured various bars on both coasts since finishing “The Real World: Paris,” and King said the experience can get rowdy, depending on the crowd.

“We have a lot of fun,” he said. “I am a really big social person, and I love meeting people.”
Sometimes the two get separated during the event when people start asking them each different questions.
“As long as people are cool with me, I’m really cool with everybody,” King said. “It is a learning experience for me just as much as it is for them.”
King said both he and Amerson like to party, and perhaps that’s why they get along so well.
“I’m really lucky,” he said. “Afterwards, people tend to go their own ways and develop their own egos, but me and Ace definitely have our egos in check.”
King has attended a Homecoming game in Athens but has not had the chance to explore downtown.
“I’m sure I will,” he said. “There’s a lot of energy, and I need a lot of energy, otherwise I’d be sitting by myself.”
King will continue to tour different bars, and his participation in “The Real World/Road Rules Challenge” will air on MTV in the fall.
Saturday’s event will take place at The Whiskey Bar inside Last Call and will include drink specials.
Camera crews have shown up in the past, but no cameras will be involved this time, said Dave Graham, owner and producer of Reality Xtreme Live, the company responsible for the event.
Last week, Danny Jameson from “The Real World: Austin” participated in celebrity bartending, which bar owner Eyal Reisin said was “a lot of fun” and attracted people aside from the bar’s normal crowd.
“People should come early because it gets crowded,” he said.
On Aug. 27, Theo Vonkurnatowski from MTV’s “Road Rules: Maximum Velocity” will be a guest bartender at Last Call.
The event is planned only through that weekend, but may continue through September or later if the response continues to be good, Reisin said.
