If live music, stunts and insane behavior is your thing, The Classic Center has something for you tonight.
After success with the stunt shows “Jackass” and “Viva La Bam,” MTV stars Ryan Dunn and Don Vito are taking the madness on the road in the “Dunn and Don Vito’s Rock Night” Tour.
“I just get antsy when I sit at home. I just start drinking and have a perpetual hangover, so I like to go on the road and get drunk and do things I might regret,” Dunn said about their decision to headline the tour.
The show combines video segments, music, stunts and audience participation.
“Usually we have a lot of crowd participation, tell jokes, tell stories, meet everybody — just uncontrolled mayhem,” Dunn said.

But the audience determines the way the show will go, Dunn said, so excitement and energy is a must.
“If the crowd is mellow, we’ll be mellow,” he said. “Well, I’ll be mellow. Vito’s never mellow.”
The out-of-control nature of the show leads to irregular behavior by the audience as well the cast.
“Girls just jump on stage and start sucking on Don Vito’s toe all the time. It’s just absolutely ridiculous and makes me want to vomit,” Dunn said.
However, some of the guys’ tricks have been restricted due to past shows.
“The famous ‘clothesline’ trick that (Dunn) has performed is no longer part of the show, because he has gotten hurt a number of times,” said Leigh Smith, The Classic Center’s theatre director.
The stunt featured Dunn riding a bike at full speed into a clothesline pulled tight by two other cast members on opposite sides of the stage.
They’ve performed 10 shows without any major problems, except for one show where Dunn didn’t feel well due to a hangover mixed with bad times on the tour buses.
“The first bus we had had no air conditioning, and the second bus had no air conditioning and no electric, and then the suspension went out, so we were all bouncing. I fell out of my bed like three times,” he said.
The main difference Dunn has found between filming the normal show and touring is the time spent on buses.
“It’s just different because you’re not really working the whole time, so you end up sitting around, getting drunk and trying to figure out how to get into trouble that night,” he said.
The Rock Night Tour consists of a band performing, and then Dunn and Vito’s performance.
Open Hand and Fight Paris are the two bands touring with Dunn and Vito.
Dunn and Don Vito’s Rock Night Tour is being filmed for a DVD slated to be released by Christmas.
After the tour ends on Sept. 11, Dunn will begin his new job the next day: a series for MTV called “Homewrecker.”
Tickets for tonight’s show are on sale at The Classic Center Box Office for $15.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m.
