Six different sounds to share the same stage

Some bands can easily play a two-hour set and would jump at any chance to do so. But not every band that is just getting started in Athens can do so.
Recently, DT's Down Under decided to have three bands play two-hour sets on most show nights, which start at 8 p.m.
However, a member of Tristan & Isolde - a band that only has about 10 original songs - had a different idea.

"We only have sets that are 30 minutes, so I asked (Eyal Reisin, owner of DT's Down Under and Last Call) if I could get six bands together and play for one hour each," vocalist Robert Schmidlein said.
Reisin gave him permission, so he put together a list of musicians from different genres of music - emo to hard core to metal to punk.
"We love to play with anybody," Schmidlein said. "This will give people who like us a chance to see others, and those who like other music can hear us."
Even though the bands come from different genres, each will stick closely to it, rather than branching out to another type.
"We don't really have the option to do that," Schmidlein said. "We'll play seven songs, and they're all pretty heavy."
There will be a giveaway for the first 20 people. Items include T-shirts, CDs, hats and other merchandise from at least Tristan & Isolde.
