'MUSIC AND LYRICS'

Genre: Romance
Rated: PG-13
Starring: Hugh Grant, Drew Barrymore

Opening Valentine's Day is Grant's latest romantic comedy, "Music and Lyrics." Directed by Marc D. Lawrence ("Two Weeks Notice"), "Lyrics" portrays Grant as Alex Fletcher, a washed up '80s pop star who has been reduced to working at county fairs and amusement parks. He's given the chance to make a comeback when offered the chance to record a duet with a superstar but finds himself in trouble when he realizes he hasn't written a song in years, has never written lyrics and is expected to turn out a hit within days. Coming to his rescue is Sophie (Drew Barrymore), Alex's plant lady with a flair for words. Obviously their chemistry heats up as they sit side-by-side at the piano, forcing Alex to face his fear of commitment, and Sophie must get over the pain of her last bad relationship so that they can find both romance and musical success.
