Barney the Destroyer, Super Barbie, Britney the Bald Eagle. Ever heard of these superheroes? Probably not, because they don't exist. But you can bring them to life, and better still, you can create your own superhero.

Tonight, the University Union Programming Board will hold a Superhero-themed Dawgs After Dark.

DAWGS AFTER DARK

When:10 tonight
Where: Tate Student Center
Cost: Free w/ UGA ID, $5 non-students.

At the event, there will be a create-your-own-superhero pageant, superhero trivia game show, rock-wall climbing and other attractions. Spider-man also will be there.

"At first sight, the theme seems like it's for younger kids, but it'll be interesting to see how they carry this out," said Zimmy Khumalo, a freshman from Lawrenceville.

"The theme is young at heart, yet it is still aimed at the college demographic," said Dawgs After Dark coordinator Felicia Barrett.

Applications for participation in the superhero pageant contest are available online at www.union.uga.edu. The most original superhero idea will win a $100 Best Buy gift card.
