Junior Katie Heenan will not be able to compete when the No. 2 Gym Dogs take on the No. 12 Michigan Wolverines for the last home meet of the season Friday.
After injuring herself during practice this week, Heenan was diagnosed with a strained calf muscle. It will be Heenan's first time missing a meet.
Head coach Suzanne Yoculan said Wednesday Heenan will be fine and ready for the SEC Championship meet at the end of March.
With Spring Break next week, the Gym Dogs will take four days off, which will give Heenan time to heal and prepare to compete again.
