The following incidents were taken from Athens-Clarke County and University Police reports:
April 23
• A female University student was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
An neighbor called ACC police at about 9 p.m. after smelling marijuana outside her River Mill apartment.
When police arrived at Sarah De Bock's apartment, they could smell the odor of marijuana outside as well. De Bock's friend, Benjamin Black, tried to prevent the officers from entering the apartment.
Eventually, De Bock let the officers in. She and Black were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Black also was charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
April 24
• A male University student told ACC Police his car was stolen.
Brandon Ginyard told ACC Police he left town at about 4 p.m. Saturday and returned Tuesday morning but went straight to class.
When he returned to his apartment complex off North Avenue, he noticed his 1999 black Acura was missing.
There was no broken glass in the parking lot, and Ginyard told police he has the only set of keys to the car and he remembers locking it before he left.
• ACC Police arrested University student Roger Coleman Ryles and charged him with selling marijuana.
Ryles was arrested near the intersection of Clayton Street and College Avenue at 11:30 p.m.
• A smoke bomb was thrown in the hallway of the Sigma Chi house at 3:16 a.m.
A University Police officer heard Sigma Chi's fire alarm going off and stopped to investigate.
ACC Fire Department was called out to inspect the building and cleared it for re-entry at 3:24 a.m.
During the investigation, an officer noticed a black airsoft gun in a vehicle parked in Phi Delta Theta's parking lot.
Police found a silver airsoft gun as well, after searching the vehicle.
Richard Bennett Beacham, a member of Phi Delta Theta and the owner of the vehicle, told police they were his guns.
Beacham was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a weapon on school property.
• University Police filed an arrest warrant for a University employee on 86 misdemeanor counts of theft by taking after he took gasoline from the University.
A director of fiscal affairs filed a police report on April 3 after discovering approximately 92 gallons of gasoline, valued at $211, were taken from the automotive center between March 9 and March 29.
Henry Lee Davis, a utility worker at the physical plant, was barred from the University for two years on April 18.
