Bulldog LB Hebron suspended from University

Freshman linebacker Akeem Hebron has been suspended from the University for the Fall 2007 semester but will be eligible to return in Spring 2008, according to an informal resolution he signed Monday, The Athens Banner-Herald reported Tuesday.
Hebron, a redshirt linebacker from Gaithersburg, Md., was arrested for underage possession of alcohol by the Athens-Clarke County police April 26 outside the Village Idiot bar on Clayton Street. It was Hebron's second arrest for the same charge this year. On Feb. 25, Hebron was arrested outside of the Butts-Mehre building.
According to the Banner-Herald, Hebron will be on probation through Dec. 15, 2009 and any other alcohol-related code of conduct violations while on probation may result in expulsion. Hebron will have to complete the Alcohol and Other Drug Advanced program before his return.
The University of Georgia policy states a second offense while on probation will result in "suspension from the institution for the remainder of current semester and one subsequent semester (Fall and Spring only)."
After his first incident, Hebron signed an informal agreement with the Office of Judicial Programs on March 27 in which he agreed to the guidelines of probation. The agreement includes a clause which states any violation on probation "will result in suspension from the University of Georgia."
According to the police report, Wyatt McBrayer, a Village Idiot employee, notified police after Hebron was denied entry to the bar.
McBrayer told police that Hebron had "made a gun with his hand and threatened him."
When the officer approached Hebron, the officer smelled alcohol and put Hebron in handcuffs. Following the arrest, Hebron was booked into the ACC Jail at 12:30 a.m.
