The 10th Anniversary Summer Festival and Blue Ribbon Ball kicks off Wednesday with Starlight Mints, a funky foursome from Oklahoma, and ends with a prom.
The prom, or Blue Ribbon Ball, even comes with appropriately cheesy music performed by glam rocker Bobby Conn, who will host the event with a unique and unusual talent.
This festival spotlights the work of Team Clermont, an Athens-based public relations firm.
Aside from bands galore, a kickball tournament and pre-prom Happy Hour are also in store.
"I know Team Clermont well. I worked with them, or hired them, to do publicity and promotions for my record this spring," said Amanda Kapousouz of Tin Cup Prophette.
"They did a magnificent job - we got a review from 'Pitchfork Media,' which apparently is no small feat."
Team Clermont has worked with many bands participating in this event, but also invited other performers to fit any taste.
"I believe we are playing with the Starlight Mints and The Ladybug Transistor; I have heard the Starlight Mints and love what I've heard," Kapousouz said.

"I hadn't heard of The Ladybug Transistor, but of course, with MySpace's help, that quickly changed. I'm excited to play with these bands because I think our sounds really compliment each other nicely," she said.
With more than 10 bands playing, there will surely be something new or refreshing for every ear.
"I think our sound and setup are unique. It helps to distinguish us from our peers. Our sound comes from necessity," Kapousouz said.
Tin Cup Prophette derives its influences from bands such as Wilco, Liz Durrett, Björk, Tom Waits and even Dolly Parton.
"As far as mood, though, I have many influences. I love darker music with meaningful lyrics - that may sound funny, but there are so many songs that have unbelievably bad lyrics, and that makes me sad," she said.
Tin Cup Prophette opens this event next Wednesday, which continues throughout next week, through next Saturday, July 28. More information about Team Clermont and the 10th Annive-rsary Summer Festival can be found at www.teamclermont.com.
