The following unrelated incidents were reported by the Athens-Clarke County police department:

Jorfre Leon was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, laying drag and underage possession at Baxter and South Church streets at 3:40 a.m. on Sept. 29. The officer watched him spin the wheels and noticed that he was not wearing shoes when he was pulled over.

David Friedman was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at El Centro on 175 North Lumpkin Street at 1:40 a.m. on Sept. 29. An officer saw him duck under the rail to get inside the café.

Olga Herndon was arrested and charged with shoplifting at Wal-Mart on 4375 Lexington Road at 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 28. She changed into a shirt and stole a hat, umbrella and candy bar.

A burglary occurred at 100 Woodstone Drive Apartments around noon on Sept. 28. Tyler Horne and Jonathan Riley reported two laptops and an XBox stolen through a window.

Steven Stoddard was arrested and charged with underage possession in front of Buddha Bar on 431 East Broad Street at 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 30. An officer saw him drink from an open container on the sidewalk.

Thomas Avery was arrested and charged with possession of open containers in vehicle, obstruction and underage possession of alcohol at East Clayton Street and College Avenue at 1 a.m. on Sept. 29. An officer saw the passenger drinking from an open beer and yelled through the open driver window at Avery to stop. He continued to drive but was pulled over.

A burglary occurred at 114 Crescendo Drive between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sept. 29. Vivah Patel, Vivek Shah, Sandeep Dhokin and Amit Doshi reported a laptop, 30 shirts and an electric keyboard stolen. The items were valued at $3,500 in total. The door was left unlocked while they were not present.

Criminal trespass occurred at 490 Barnett Shoals Road at 4 a.m. on Sept. 29. Brooke Gallop said she was fighting with an ex-boyfriend, and he broke her window.

An arson occurred on International Drive at 7 p.m. on Sept. 30. Joshua Hamburg said someone pulled the futon off his back porch, put it on the retaining wall and used a five-gallon gas can to set it on fire. A go-cart was also set on fire, and the fire burned the retaining wall and underbrush.

The following unrelated incidents were reported by the UGA police department:

A theft occurred at the Thomas Street art complex lot between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sept. 28. A $615 parking boot was stolen.

A theft occurred in the lower Russell Hall lot between 1:45 a.m. and 1:50 a.m. on Sept. 29. A female student reported a $250 camera stolen.

A theft occurred at Sanford Stadium between 3 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 29. A female visitor reported a $330 bag and contents stolen.

A criminal trespass occurred at the North Campus deck between 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 2:50 a.m. on Sept. 30. A male visitor reported his vehicle damaged.

Elliott Spencer Chaiken was arrested and charged with underage possession at 1515 South Milledge Avenue at 1:17 a.m. on Sept. 29.

Rachel Faith Rigdon was arrested and charged with underage possession at Lumpkin and Wray streets at 2:25 a.m. on Sept. 29.

Ellison Smyth McKissick IV was arrested and charged with underage possession and pedestrian on highway in the Kappa Alpha lot at 7:48 p.m. on Sept. 29.

Bradley Charles Smith was arrested and charged with underage possession and possession of a fake ID at Russell Hall at 3 a.m. on Sept. 30.

Marin Feodor Mills was arrested and charged with underage possession and possession of a fake ID at Avigenics at 7 a.m. on Sept. 30.

A theft occurred at Sanford Stadium between 3:50 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sept. 29. A male visitor reported his $300 cell phone stolen.

A simple assault occurred at Baxter and Cloverhurst streets at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 1. A male student reported that a person he didn't know made statements to him that put him in fear for his safety.

A theft occurred at Aderhold Hall between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Oct. 1. A female student reported her $247 wallet and contents stolen.

The following unrelated arrests were reported in the Clarke County Sheriff's Office booking log:

Tanya Nicole Knox, 30, was arrested and charged with no proof of insurance, yielding to stop signs and suspended/revoked registration. She was booked at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. She is a food service worker for East Village Commons.

Latissha Dette Barnes, 26, was arrested and charged with contempt of Municipal Court and shoplifting. She was booked at 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 1. Barnes is a utility worker for the East Campus commissary.

Tommy Lee Johnson, 50, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness. He was booked at 12:27 a.m. on Oct. 2. Johnson is a University utility worker.

Please correct this story -- Elliott Spencer Chaiken is not a member Alpha Epsilon Phi because Alpha Epsilon PHI is a sorority. Maybe he is a member of Alpha Epsilon PI, which is a fraternity. (Continued…)
