Scotland is good for far more than sheep and skirts of plaid. In the rock world, we've been blessed with Franz Ferdinand and The Fratellis, but it's time for them to step aside because three guys from Glasgow known as 1990s have produced one of the most rollicking good-time records from our generation. From a dirty disco floor to a long sunny drive, 1990s is raw pop power straight from the garage. "Cookies" conjures everyone from Elvis Costello to The Buzzcocks and The Beatles with its lo-fi guitar licks, layered lyrical choruses and the absolute strongest hooks this side of the Scottish countryside. 1990s yell it from the rooftops with raucous riffs on tracks like "Cult Status," "See You at the Lights" and "You're Supposed To Be My Friend," knowing full well its legacy is going to last. Snack on 1990s' "Cookies" and you'll be nothing short of satisfied.
