Thriller

Starring: Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin

Rating: R

In a throwback to their early filmmaking days, the Coen brothers put their dark twist on the film noir once again. An adaptation of the novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy, "No Country" follows Llewelyn Moss (Brolin), who stumbles upon $2 million in a drug deal gone wrong. Determined to keep the money, he must evade psychopath Anton Chigurh (Bardem) and the disillusioned sheriff (Jones), who is unable to cope with the rising body count.

"The Mist"

Suspense

Starring: Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden and Laurie Holden

Director Frank Darabont ("The Shawshank Redemption") brings yet another adaptation of a Stephen King short story to the big screen with this horror fest set in a tiny community where nasty creatures prowl within a thick, abnormal mist.
