The band is the brainchild of artist Scott Reitherman, almost on a mission to defeat Seattle stereotypes as the collective's frontman. He produces intelligent indie-pop with splashes of synth to spice up the simplicity of his songwriting.
The band is an emblem of eclecticism, thriving on its ambition to embody adversity in a scene ruled by rain and rage.
It's a lighthearted garage band fare akin to The Kinks or The Shins, leaning toward electro-pop and meticulous math rock at times. Either way, Throw Me The Statue is endearing and likely to "throw" you for a loop.
