The Lady Dogs take on UNC in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament

UGA is 5-0 all-time against UNC, including two NCAA tournament games. Georgia beat UNC 72-70 in an opening round game in 1983. The most recent meeting came in 2000, as Georgia beat UNC 83-57 to advance to the Elite Eight.

UNC is seeking its 4th straight appearance in the Sweet 16 and the team's 3rd straight appearance in the Final Four.

UGA is making its 25th appearance in the women's NCAA tournament, tied with Old Dominion University. Only Tennessee has more with 27.

UNC is ranked No. 2 in both the coaches' and AP polls. UGA is No. 24 in the coaches' poll.
