Georgia cheerleader Christine Conley suffered a mild to moderate concussion Sunday during the Georgia women's basketball game in the NCAA tournament in Norfolk, Va.

Midway through the second half, the cheerleading squad was performing at center court when Conley, a senior from Millen, fell to the floor. The basketball game was delayed for several minutes while the team's medical staff attended to Conley. She was then carried off on a stretcher and taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Charles and Cheryl Conley drove to Norfolk to be with their daughter Sunday. According to Mike Mobley, the women's basketball associate sports communications director, Conley was scheduled to be discharged from the hospital Monday afternoon. She is expected to return to Georgia on Tuesday.

Conley was named Sports Illustrated's cheerleader of the week in October 2006.
