• Virginia Tech vigil. Students are asked to wear orange and maroon to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the tragedy. The vigil will include a presentation of the colors by the University's Air Force ROTC and performance by Noteworthy, the University's renowned female a cappella group. SGA President Connor McCarthy and former SGA Vice President Matthew Suber will speak. A photo of the vigil will be taken and submitted to the Hokie community as a reminder that the Bulldog Nation stands behind them. 8 p.m.

• Alternative energy. The Young Democrats will host a group discussion about alternative energy and presidential platforms. 6 p.m. SLC 348.
• Research workshop. Drop in for help finding scholarly resources for your papers and for guidance on citing sources correctly from University librarians. 8 to 10 p.m. SLC 370.
• Blood drive. American Red Cross. Reed Community. 2 to 7 p.m. Reed hall lobby.
• Mini Relay. Sponsored by the University's Relay For Life. Join us for a miniature version of the largest philanthropy event of the year, complete with luminaries, tents and lively fundraisers. Relay For Life team fundraisers at Mini Relay will include the "Human Fountain," Pie-in-the-Face, Root Beer Pong, Oreo Ball bake sale and a yard sale. Wristbands also will be available for Relay Rocks Downtown, an evening of percentage nights also on April 16. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tate Plaza Lawn. Contact: jtraynor@uga.edu.

• Founders Day Parade. Sponsored by Gamma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order. Expect lane closures during this parade, beginning at the KA house on Lumpkin Street south to Wray Street, west to Hull Street, north to Broad Street, west to Milledge Avenue, south to Lumpkin Street and north back to the KA house. 2 to 6 p.m.
• Discussion: Fighting Anti-immigration Legislation. Sponsored by the UGA Progressives, Athens Campus Greens and StandUP. Learn about combating racism and anti-immigrant sentiment. 7 to 8 p.m. 268 SLC. Contact:
