Ways to Worship

Numerous campus ministries exist to offer students a way to worship, no matter their religious affiliation.

- Athens Acadia Fellowship
Dedicated to community, truth, integrity, authenticity and humility, the Athens Acadia Fellowship meets in small and large groups and is devoted to the teachings of Nehemiah.

- Bah'ai Association
The Bah'ai Association meets each Sunday and is devoted to further the tenets of the Bah'ai Faith. Everyone is welcome regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation or religion. Meetings alternate between topic discussions, which reflect on readings, and devotion and social activities.

- Baptist Collegiate Ministry
This student-led, campus minister-directed ministry provides social and outreach activities for students to develop their Christian faith. With a mission of worship, ministry, fellowship and discipleship, BCM is one of the most active ministries on campus.

- Bulldog Christian Fellowship
A multicultural campus ministry, the Bulldog Christian Fellowship is a campus outreach affiliated with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. The group meets weekly on campus for worship, teaching and fellowship.

- Campus View Church of Christ
A church dedicated to loving God, Campus View holds Sunday School services and worship assemblies in addition to small Bible-study groups each Sunday. Fellowship and Bible class is held Wednesday, and the group values prayer, godly leadership and family.

- The Catholic Center
Located directly across from the University's track, the Catholic Center offers daily masses in addition four each weekend. The Catholic Center is a Eucharistic community devoted to living the life of the gospel of Jesus in the tradition of the Roman Catholic faith.

- Chabad of Georgia
Serving the Jewish community of the University, Chabad puts on a variety of programs including Bar and Bat Mitzvah lessons, teen clubs, Jewish Learning Institutes and Hebrew schools. The group's nonjudgmental attitude fosters a welcoming environment for all Jews.

- Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship
Chi Alpha is a diverse group devoted to engaging students with the love of Christ, as well as give leaders resources to fulfill their callings. Its five areas of ministry include prayer, discipleship, fellowship, worship and witness.

- China Outreach Ministries
A Christian mission organization, China Outreach Ministries disciples, trains and mentors those studying outside of China in Christian faith. The group is dedicated to advocating a Christian lifestyle and equipping its members to minister creatively to other Chinese people.

- Christian Campus Fellowship
CCF is a non-denominational ministry dedicated to giving opportunities for worship, service, study and fellowship to the University community. This diverse group takes part in Bible studies, worship times, retreats, socials, intramurals, service projects and small groups.

- Christus Victor Lutheran Church
A University congregation located right on campus, Christus Victor reaches out to the University community and Athens by word and deed. The group is dedicated to developing Church leaders for the present and future.

- Latter Day Saints Institute of Religion
Located on South Lumpkin Street, the Athens Institute Program offers many activities and classes. The building is an ideal place to study, learn and eat, and also authorizes several student organizations, including the Latter-day Saint Student Association.

- UGA Crossroads
The Campus Crusade for Christ at Georgia fosters an safe environment for students to meet friends and lead others to Christ. The group meets weekly and also participates in several events such as the Campus Crusade Greek Conference and Life Options Conference.

- Disciples on Campus
Affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Disciples on Campus emphasizes campus ministry, continuing education and teaching. The group is not based on the University's campus, but continues to serve the University community.

- Episcopal Center at UGA
The Episcopal Center hosts services each weekend, as well as Wednesday programs. The ministry hosts speakers, group discussion, musical support, Foyer Groups, Bible Discussion Groups and kitchen teams.

- ELCA Campus Ministry
A ministry for, by and with the ELCA Lutheran College students in Athens, the group seeks to help students grow in faith, service and leadership. The group is devoted to developing lasting relationships and exploring questions in a Christian community.

- UGA Hillel
The home away from home for many Jewish University students, Hillel supports many campus events and welcomes all students to advance the values of social justice, Jewish learning, spirituality, Israel and the global Jewish community.

- The Navigators
A college ministry dedicated to knowing Jesus Christ through evangelism, establishing, equipping and sending out disciples of Christ, the Navigators focuses on one-on-one discipleship. Older Christians meet individually with younger Christians to disciple.

- Orthodox Christian Fellowship
The Orthodox Christian Fellowship meets twice a month to discuss issues concerning Orthodoxy in their culture lives and to fellowship with other Orthodox students. The group also sponsors events through the University.

- Our Hope
Our Hope Metropolitan Community Church is a commissioned church that plays a vital role in addressing the spiritual needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community. Its open, loving community creates a place of belonging for its members.

- Presbyterian Student Center
A place for students to gather to ask questions about their faith, worship, share in fellowship, serve others and have fun, the Presbyterian Student Center wants to foster a safe place for students to grow in their faith.

- Reformed University Fellowship
The Reformed University Fellowship provides opportunities for students to learn the Bible's teachings and put them to practice in their daily lives. The importance
of both doctrine and life is emphasized, and the group meets weekly at Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

- Team United
Team United reaches out to the athletes, coaches and athletic community at the University. A coalition of several campus ministries, Team United targets athletes and coaches, though anyone can attend meetings, Bible studies and activities.

- Unitarian Universalists
A diverse group, the Unitarian Universalist Young Adult Network gathers twice a week and acknowledges several principles: Humanist, Existentialist, Taoist, Agnostic, Atheist, Buddhist, Bah'ai, Humanistic Jew, Liberal Christian, Liberal Muslim and more.

- UGA Wesley Foundation
Wesley is a Methodist campus ministry devoted to worshipping God and seeking His kingdom in Athens. The group meets for worship, teaching and fellowship every Wednesday, and also hosts events specifically for freshmen once a week.

- Young Life
Young Life works with children in Athens and is open to University freshmen and sophomores interested in learning what it means to be a Young Life or Wyldlife leader. The groups meets once a week and is committed to being involved with kids' lives.
