Man pleads guilty to murdering Lemon's mother

The boyfriend of Michael Lemon's mother, who was accused of her murder last year, pleaded guilty to the crime Thursday and has been sentenced to life in prison.
Macon Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Bobbitt said Herbert Hart Jr., 36, pleaded guilty to murder and other charges in the death of Phaba LaDon Hollingshed Lemon. He was accused of beating the 39-year-old Lemon to death Feb. 21, 2007, and torching her house.
Michael Lemon was dismissed from the football team last week and faces battery charges after being accused of punching a Georgia student and breaking his eye socket.
