A man is being assisted by EMS after hitting a car with his scooter Monday afternoon.

A man on a red and black moterized Suzuki scooter was hit by a red Toyota Camry on Baldwin Street just off campus at about 1:15 p.m. Monday.

This reporter saw the car pull onto the street and the scooter attempt to break. The scooter hit the front portion of the car. The man fell to the ground.

An ambulance arrived within five minutes. The man who was injured was able to wiggle his feet. He was put on a stretcher and taken to a hospital.
