TEMPE, Ariz. - Dry heat or not, freshman receiver AJ Green had seven receptions and accounted for 150 of Matthew Stafford's 183 passing yards before halftime as No. 3 Georgia claimed a 27-10 win over unranked Arizona State.
"I'm just going out there trying to make plays. I'm just going to stay humble and try to make plays with my abilities and try to help my team out," Green said.
Green, who had 141 yards combined in Georgia's previous three games, ended the game with eight receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown.
"Our line blocked well enough for Matthew to have time to get (Green) the ball," Georgia coach Mark Richt said.
Georgia's third drive of the game started ominously when Moreno was stopped for a two-yard loss on his second punt return of the season. He then lost two on his first down carry before gaining the two back on the next play, setting up a third-and-10.
A 30-yard Stafford pass to Green kept what would become a 91-yard scoring drive alive. On the heels of his hurdle against Central Michigan and his improbable run for the Bulldogs' only touchdown against South Carolina, Moreno amazed again, this time scoring on an eight-yard run¬-in which he jumped and dove into the end zone from the 4-yard line.
"I just took the outside and the rest is really history," Moreno said. "I just let instinct take over and we were just happy for the score."
"He's an acrobat," Sun Devil safety Troy Nolan said. "You know he runs hard, he's energized out there, he's pretty shifty, and he's a good player."
On Arizona State's next possession, Zach Renner, listed as a split end on rosters given out prior to the game but not in the Georgia media guide, blocked Sun Devil Thomas Weber's punt. The subsequent Georgia drive resulted in freshman kicker Blair Walsh launching a 55-yarder that had more than enough leg but hit off the left upright.
On the next Sun Devil play, linebacker Marcus Dowtin caused a fumble on a complete pass to Dimitri Nance that defensive end Jeremy Lomax recovered. The highlight of that drive came on another long pass to Green, this time a 29-yarder that set up a three-yard TD run from Moreno.

They better have a front page picture of Moreno leaping into the end zone...or at least presenting himself to the crowd afterward, because THAT was AWESOME!
