• Richard Parks Collection Dedication. Sponsored by the University Libraries. Dedication of the Richard Parks Collection, a collection of over 200 ornithological paintings and drawings created by Richard Parks, as well as Mr. Parks' personal papers and manuscripts. Parks has been called one of the most prominent and respected ornithologists in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Ornithological Society. 1 p.m. Main Library, Reading Room, 1st floor. • Brown Bag Lecture: Making the Case for Mixed Income Communities. Sponsored by the Fanning Institute. M. von Nkosi discusses developing mixed use, mixed income communities. Mr. Nkosi is an architect and urban designer currently working to helping the city develop policies and practices that create vibrant mixed-use and mixed-income neighborhoods as part of the post Hurricane Katrina redevelopment efforts.
