Students have been left to fend for themselves as the Speech Communication department has lost its advisor. Students who have had problems with advising, registration, and scheduling from any department, here is your chance to tell your story.

I have a great advisor. I go in and say I have my schedule ready. He says, "Do you have any questions?" I reply, "No." That is it. Have these students never heard of a DARS report? Cannot be spoon fed everything now, this is supposed to be an institute of higher learning. (Continued…)

That advisor sounds just like mine and I cannot stand him. He doesn't offer any help, even when I ask. I already was led down a wrong path.
I do the research on my own but an advisor is there to help and guide. (Continued…)

I did not say mine was bad. I said that mine does what I need him to do. Clear me for registration.

My advisor during my time in the marketing department at Terry always seemed to be bothered when I would ask her a question. She would always ask me if I had any questions about anything, but it seemed to be simply for formality sake as when I would ask her questions about anything other than classes (which I never had any questions about as I always went in prepared), she would simply say "I don't know" and brush me off on someone else.
