Western Kentucky 67, Georgia 63
Georgia head coach Dennis Felton's return to Western Kentucky Tuesday night proved disappointing, as the men's basketball team mounted a late comeback, but fell just short.
After a frustrating second half, Georgia (5-2) was down by seven points with four minutes to play. The Bulldogs' offense ignited, quickly scoring six points in just over a minute to draw within one of the Hilltoppers (4-2). However, the run fizzled as Western Kentucky outlasted Georgia 67-63.
"There were a couple of rebounds that we didn't get, and a couple of really bad fouls that allowed them to pull away," Felton said after the game on 960 The Ref.
The Bulldogs led at halftime, and scored the first basket of the second period, but the Hilltoppers went on a 14-4 run to take the lead, and eventually the win.
Georgia shot 1-9 from the 3-point line and an anemic 4-10 from the free throw stripe in the second, which proved to be the difference in the four-point loss.
Senior Terrance Woodbury led Georgia with 18 points.

I hate to say that, but this just shows how low Georgia basketball has fallen. Georgia is supposed to be several levels above Western Kentucky. Felton used to work at Western Kentucky, until he took the job at Georgia. (Continued…)
