On Sunday, Lady Bulldog sophomore diver Hannah Moore once again led the Georgia diving effort at the Tennessee Diving Invitational held at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.

Moore finished fifth in the 1-meter springboard competition with a score of 265.20. It was her second top five finish of the invitational; on Saturday, Moore took third-place honors in the 3-meter springboard. Moore was the only Georgia diver to advance to the finals on Sunday afternoon.

Junior Lexie Bryant narrowly missed qualifying for the afternoon finals after finishing 13th in the morning preliminary round with a score of 244.35. She was less than five points behind the 12th place finisher at the conclusion of the preliminary round. Freshman Landon Watters finished in 46th place with a score of 177.50.

"Hannah did a good job with her fifth place finish," diving coach Dan Laak said. "Lexie did a really good job. Out of 53 divers, for her to finish just outside the top 12 was really exciting. I was happy with her. Landon did well, but she's still learning how to perform at a meet of this size."

The men couldn't repeat their effort from Saturday as none of the Bulldog divers were able to advance to the finals competition of the 3-meter on Sunday. During the preliminary round, senior Webb Worthington led the Georgia effort with a 21st place finish off the 3-meter springboard with a score of 268.70. Worthington finished eighth during Saturday's 1-meter competition.

Tim Barrett was the second-highest Bulldog finisher off the 3-meter, earning a score of 258.00 and a 25th place finish. Freshman Owen Blank finished in 34th place with a score of 233.65 in the preliminary round.

"We had a rough one on the guys' side. I can't explain what happened," Laak said. "We were just off. Christmas training might have caught up to them, but all of them made some errors. We will see how we do on tower Sunday."

The Tennessee Diving Invitational will conclude Monday with the platform competition. The event, which will be a scored final, will begin at 11:30 a.m. Live results can be found at divemeets.com.
