Though sand and surf may be on many minds as the University community readies for Spring Break, driving safety should be key when planning trips. To offset the number of accidents that could occur, Parking Services hosted a SafeDrive event Thursday.
Students and University faculty members brought their cars to have them checked for maintenance.
"It is trying to make it safe for students that are getting ready to go on Spring Break to have a safe journey home," said Mike Volk, supervisor for Parking Services.
Some students found the clinic an informative experience.
"I wouldn't have checked anything on my own," said Michelle Tovani, a sophomore from Peachtree City, who went to the event. "I think it is definitely something more people should look into."
