Improv Athens to raise money for war-torn Uganda

The Invisible Children group, contrary to what the name might imply, is not known for blending in.
That's why the group has joined with local comedy troupe Improv Athens to host tonight's comedy show, Laughrica. The event will be its final fundraising show for the semester.

Invisible Children raises money to help the war-torn families and children that are victims of the current war in Uganda.
Throughout the year, Invisible Children has hosted a variety of shows and concerts in an effort to raise money for its cause, but Invisible Children president Josh Dunn believes this last show will be a unique, stand-out event.
"We get a good turn-out on a regular basis, but this is a different kind of event," Dunn said.
Though they host many different events, most - like tonight's show - cost nothing. Invisible Children asks only for donations.
Improv Athens has been a traveling comedy troupe for four years and is comprised of graduate and undergraduates from the University.
Mario Haynes, a junior theater major from Ellaville, is a member of Improv Athens as well as a volunteer with Invisible Children.
"[Invisible Children's] a very open group," Haynes said.
