Everything is bigger in Texas.

And Texas lent Georgia one of its biggest tennis player's in junior Jamie Hunt, who hits big for the Georgia men's tennis team at the No. 2 singles spot.

With a home match against Auburn on the Horizon, Hunt sat down with The Red & Black in between his serves and volleys.

The Red & Black: How do you spend your time outside of tennis?

Jamie Hunt: Just hangout, go to movies, play a little golf. A lot of us play golf on the team, so we just go out on Mondays sometimes at Athens Country Club and play out there.

R&B: What's the best you've ever shot?

JH: Not good, probably like a 95 or something like that. I'm not very good.

R&B: What other ways do you like to keep in shape?

JH: Other than tennis, I don't really do that much physical activity. I go jogging every now and then when I'm not playing tennis, but I don't really do it that much. I don't really like to run either, I only do it because I have to sometimes.

R&B: What kind of music do you like?

JH: I love Dave Matthews Band because I got to meet Boyd Tinsley at the US Open one year and he was so cool.

He's definitely one of my favorite artists. I like rap a lot. T.I. is pretty good, and I like Soulja Boy's new song "Kiss me through the phone."

R&B: Do people approach you in public because they recognize you from the team?

JH: Every now and then. Usually it's more of the old man or old woman saying hey and good luck or good job, but I definitely don't get recognized as much as those [football] guys.

R&B: If you could go back in time and live in any decade, what decade would you choose?

JH: The '80s for sure. I love the music too.

R&B: What's your favorite '80s band?

JH: I don't want to say Cyndi Lauper, but Cyndi Lauper.
