A University doctoral student was found dead at his home Wednesday.

Dirk Magwitz, a doctoral candidate in marriage and family therapy, was found on the floor of his apartment by a fellow student, Clarke County Coroner Sonny Wilson told the Athens Banner-Herald Thursday.

Authorities do not think foul play was involved, the Banner-Herald reported. "It all appears to be natural," Wilson said.

A Facebook page "In Memory of Dirk Magwitz" was started "to be a respectful memorial to a man, an angel, who has touched so many lives in so many ways."

No funeral arrangements have been announced yet.

Dirk, you will be greatly missed, friend. Our program, department, and lives have been changed since knowing you.

Absolutely. You touched so many people so deeply during our unexpectedly short time with you. Thank you for all you've taught us.
