Irvine is No. 1 for the first time this season and is followed by Arizona State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech and Georgia, respectively.
Three other SEC schools are ranked in the top 25, Ole Miss (No. 13), Alabama (No. 21) and Florida (No. 22).
Georgia is still ranked No. 1 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll.

Georgia women's tennis player Monika Dancevic earned SEC tennis player of the week honors while Nadja Gilchrist was tabbed SEC freshman of the week, the league announced Monday.
Dancevic and Gilchrist helped second-ranked Georgia clinch the SEC title outright this past Saturday in a 5-2 win over 13th-ranked Tennessee in Knoxville.
Dancevic went a combined 2-0 in singles and doubles, clinching the doubles point with Yvette Hyndman, and then the overall match with a win at No. 4 singles. In doubles, Dancevic and Hyndman are 7-0 in league play.
Gilchrist came through for the Bulldogs after not practicing all of last week due to an illness. She was questionable before the match and opted to play doubles. Gilchrist and freshman Chelsey Gullickson posted an 8-5 win over the 18th-ranked Tennessee duo of Caitlin Whoriskey and Natalie Pluskota. Then, Gilchrist told coaches she would try to play singles too, only to notch her ninth straight win over Samantha Orlin 6-3, 1-6, 6-1.
