Young Democrats meeting. UGA/ACC Young Democrats will host Georgia House Minority Leader Dubose Porter, an attorney and newspaper publisher from Dublin who is running for governor. 6 p.m. MLC 250.

It's SO Easy Being Green - Earth Day 2009 Celebration. Sponsored by the Go Green Alliance and the Physical Plant Division. The event hopes to educate UGA students how they can do their part to sustain our planet's health and resources. Various UGA departments, student clubs and local businesses are hosting tables to show how easy it is to live green. 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Tate Plaza. Contact: sallot@uga.edu
Chocolate Festival. Sponsored by the Office for Violence Prevention. A fund-raiser aimed at increasing awareness of interpersonal violence: relationship and sexual violence, stalking, sexual harassment, drugs used to facilitate sexual violence, and promoting safety on campus. 1:00 p.m. Memorial Hall Ballroom. Honors Day Ceremony. Sponsored by the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. Ceremony honoring the top five percent of students by college and school; and faculty and student recipients of awards for outstanding performance. Sixth, seventh and eighth period classes (1:25-4:25 p.m.) will be cancelled to allow all faculty and students to attend the ceremony. 2:00 p.m. Hodgson Hall, Performing Arts Center.
