Men's basketball loses commit in 2009 class

Georgia men's basketball coach Mark Fox suffered his first loss Tuesday.
Daniel Miller, one of two high school players committed to Georgia in the class of 2009, officially requested to be released from his national letter of intent.
"The family of Daniel Miller expressed a desire for Daniel to be released from his letter of intent," Fox said. "After meeting with them over the weekend, I have granted Daniel his complete release. I wish him well in the career path he chooses for himself."
Miller, a 6-foot-10, 235 pound post player from Loganville, signed with Georgia in November, choosing to play for the Bulldogs over Georgia Tech and Minnesota.
Miller led Loganville Christian Academy to three consecutive titles.
Miller's subtraction leaves Georgia with only one commit, guard Demario Mayfield from Franklin County. Mayfield, the Georgia class AAA player of the year, has said he is sticking to commitment.
