Crimewatch: April 15 -19

The following was reported by the Athens-Clarke County police:
University student Natalie Levey reported a theft by taking on April 19 between 2 a.m. and 5 p.m. at El Centro. A $120 brown purse containing a $300 iPhone, $300 digital camera, a $200 make-up case, a $10 medicine, car/dorm keys, a license and credit cards was taken. When Levey's friend called Levey's cell phone, someone picked up and said "You lost your stuff."
University student James Roy Ball, 22, was arrested and charged with public intoxication on April 19 between 1:50 a.m. and 2 a.m. at Little Italy. Ball ordered pizza and when it took too long, he stole someone else's, the police report states. The manager tried to stop Ball, and a fight ensued. When the police arrived the manager had a black eye and swollen cheek, and Ball had a cut on his nose. No charges were pressed for the stolen pizza.
University student Victor Sullivan reported a residential burglary on Milledge Avenue on April 18 between 8:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. A $250 xBox, $60 Call of Duty game and two $50 xBox controllers were taken.
University student Catherine Jane Gorman, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol on April 16 at 12:49 a.m. at the intersection of North Chase and Hancock.
University student Brandon James McCraw, 22, was arrested for public intoxication and pedestrian in the roadway on April 15 between 11:46 p.m. and 11:51 a.m. at the intersection of Washington and Jackson. McCraw got out of the car in which he had been riding and stood in the intersection blocking traffic. McCraw went up to a car, hit the hood and said an explicative to the driver.
Kappa Alpha received a noise ordinance violation on April 15 between 9 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.
University student Laurie Ladson reported a burglary on Forston Circle on April 15 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:55 p.m. The suspect forced open a $100 door and stole a plasma screen television.
University student Beth Myhrberg reported a burglary on April 15 on Rushin Drive between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. An insulated glass window, laptop, 80G iPod, computer hard-drive, bottle of Crown Royal, a camera and a Garmin GPS were taken. Footprints outside the house showed there were two offenders.
University student Jean-Marie Anspach, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol on April 17 between 8:30 p.m. and 17:04 p.m.
University student Joshua Robert Brown, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and giving false information on April 18 at 3:15 a.m.
University student Ashley Nicole Gravlin, 18, was arrested and charged with theft by shoplifting on April 17 at 8:33 p.m.
The following was reported by the University police:
A criminal trespass was reported in the Moore College between 5:30 p.m. on April 16 and 7 a.m. on April 17. A window was broken.
A University employee reported a financial transaction card theft/fraud between 9:15 on April 10 and 10:54 p.m. on April 17. The card was taken from the victim's office and used at an ATM. The card was later recovered.
A University student reported a theft by taking in the Miller Learning Center between 7:20 p.m. on April 16 and 11 a.m. on April 17. A $5 wallet, $25 flash drive, $57 in cash, driver's license, UGA ID, debit card, birth certificate and social security card were taken from the student's bag.
A burglary was reported in Brooks Hall between 10 a.m. on April 13 and 1:30 p.m. on April 17. Fifteen flash drives, valued at $135, were taken from an office.
A University student reported a theft by taking and criminal trespass between 6 p.m. on April 11 and 9:30 a.m. on April 18 in Rutherford Hall. A bike and lock, valued at $350, was taken.
A University student reported criminal damage at the Chicopee Complex between 10 p.m. on April 17 and 3 a.m. on April 18. All four of the student's tires were slashed.
University student Garrett Alan Parker, 22, was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to yield when turning left on April 14 at 3:12 a.m. on College Station Road. Parker had turned in front of oncoming traffic.
University student Leopold Matamba-Messi, 29, was arrested and charged with driving while unlicensed and failure to yield when turning left on East Campus Road on April 18 at 10:02 p.m. Matamba-Messi turned in front of oncoming traffic, causing an accident.
University student Malcolm MacGregor Shaw, 20, was arrested in the Chi Phi parking lot and charged with DUI, underage possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana and giving false name and date of birth on April 19 at 1:26 a.m. Saw had struck two vehicles in the lot.
A University employee reported a $33 lock box containing $11 in currency was taken from the Hoke Smith Building between 7:30 a.m. on March 11 and 11:45 a.m. on April 15.
A University student reported a theft by taking at the Miller Learning Center on April 15 between 4:45 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. A $399 iPod was taken.
University student William Johnston Jeremiah, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of fake identification in the Pi Kappa Alpha parking lot on April 16 at 12:40 a.m.
