Students gathered at Tate Plaza on Wednesday to celebrate Earth Day by participating in several activities, including live music, belly dancing, cotton candy and a reptile petting zoo. Earth Day was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 as a way to teach students about the environment and is now recognized around the world.
