With Asher Allen's departure to the NFL and Georgia only signing two cornerbacks in last year's class, cornerback is clearly a high priority in the 2010 class.

And Johnavon Fulton, the No. 8 ranked cornerback in the country by Scout.com, is high atop the Georgia coaching staff's wish list. But that interest isn't one sided as Fulton has expressed strong interest in the Dogs since a visit for Junior Day just over a month ago.

"I mean I really like it up there," Fulton said. "It's like a family type atmosphere, and [defensive coordinator Willie] Martinez and coach [Mark] Richt and all those coaches keep it real good. When I talk to them, it's like I'm their No. 1, and they treat me like I'm their boy."

Fulton said the coaching staff wants to take a few cornerbacks in the 2010 class, signaling their obvious need at the position considering this class should be small in numbers.

"They told me they want to take three or four corners this year, and I'd play boundary corner for them," he said.

Fulton said his competitiveness and ability to forget when mistakes are made set him apart from other cornerbacks.

"There's this thing called amnesia, like when a player gets burnt or something, he doesn't let it get him down, and when something happens I don't let it get me down," Fulton said.

With that said, there's one thing Fulton said he needs to work on.

"I think I need to improve on my hips, to be honest, because sometimes people be hitting me with that double move, and I think that's the only thing that really hurts me," he said.

However, the Bulldog coaching staff isn't the only one after Fulton. He boasts offers from nearly every school in the SEC - a trend he has clearly noticed.

"I really don't have a favorite list right now, but I have offers from Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Clemson, N.C. State, Maryland and Tennessee," Fulton said. "I really don't have a conference preference, but it seems like the SEC really wants me right now because almost all of them have offered me."

Thanks to the influx of offers and interest from across the South, Fulton will attend a full slate of camps this summer.

"The only visits I'm really looking at right now are camps," he said. "I visited Georgia like a month ago. It was a junior day, and I came down early before everyone got there. I'm going to a one-day camp at Georgia, a one-day camp at Florida, and we've been talking about going to Alabama's camp. We're definitely going to the [South Carolina] camp, too."

Dear Nick Parker,

When writing an article about HIGH SCHOOL football players in the future, please remember to mention WHERE THEY ARE FROM and WHERE THEY ATTEND HIGH SCHOOL. (Continued…)
