Activists leave mess behind

As I left the Tate Center Wednesday evening, I was shocked to find the garbage from the Earth Day Fare piled up in the Tate Plaza. I am appalled none of the organizers made arrangements to take away this garbage and have it properly recycled.

To have an event that promotes the principles of environmentalism and then ignore those principles is completely hypocritical. Leaving this garbage to be picked up by others is just sad. I cannot take Earth Day seriously when its own organizers are too lazy or too incompetent to clean up properly after themselves. If this is environmentalism, then I will have no part of it.
