Thursday

Middle Eastern Dance.
40 Watt.
7 p.m.
$5 advance student, $8 at the door; $8 regular advance, $10 regular door.
Fatina delivers her passion for Middle Eastern dance to her students and they bring it to the stage.

Cocknap.
283 Bar.
10 p.m.
Free.
It's like karaoke, but better: take the mic and sing your favorite tunes to a back-up Rock Band band.

Showing the Seams.
ATHICA.
7:30 to 9:30p.m.
$3 suggested donation.
As part of the current exhibit "Crafting Romance," Brian Hitselberger, Kate Schoenke, Andrea Trombetta and Jessica Wohl address related themes in original performance pieces.

Friday

Tendaberry, Mouser, Gemini Cricket.
Little Kings.
10 p.m.
$3.
Mouser has been lying dormant for some time but are back in action with their insane but catchy pop tunes. The line-up is always a surprise and makes for a frenetically entertaining live show. Tendaberry from @tlanta explore the realm of soul-punk.

Spring Open House and Sale.
Bendzunas Glass.
6 to 10 p.m.
Free.
Bendzunas is in Comer, but it's not that far of a drive (and there will be refreshments). Glass may be a little too fragile for dorm room decor but glass-blowing demonstrations will be going on, and it looks really, really cool.

Saturday

Bit Brigade (as Castlebandia), 'Powers, The Buddy System.
40 Watt.
9:30 p.m.
$6 (21+)/$8 (18+).
Bit Brigade involves Noah McCarthy whirling through Castlevania projected on a screen behind a crew of local musicians playing the math-rock version of the soundtrack along with it. If you haven't seen Bit Brigade before, now is the perfect time.

Adoptathon.
Animal Control Shelter.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Free.
This is the largest animal adoption event ever, taking place all over the world. Many different rescue groups will be available, so adopters should have no trouble rescuing a pet or having any questions answered.

31st Annual Human Rights Festival.
College Square.
10 a.m. to midnight.
Free.
It's downtown, it's awesome. Let yourself be culturally educated.

Athens Indie Craftstravaganzaa.
Parking lot at Clayton and Pulaski.
11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Free.
Shop for unique and interesting art and crafts from a variety of local artists. Live music will be featured throughout the day.
