Issue date: 5/7/09 Section: News
A University student faces 16 felony charges stemming from the unauthorized use of another student's debit card to charge food, rent, gas and alcohol at several Athens locations in late 2008, according to magistrate court documents.
Jennifer Leigh Lirette, 22, was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail Tuesday night on 15 counts of FTC fraud and one count of FTC theft.
According to court documents, a debit card belonging to another student was taken without consent on Aug. 9, and during the next two months $664.21 was charged at 15 different locations. Charges included a $353.95 charge to the Polo Club, $19 at General Beauregard's, $23.50 at JR's Bait Shack and $11 at Bourbon Street in downtown, as well $52.01 at Shell Oil and $8.64 at Chick-fil-A.
Lirette was charged with underage possession of alcohol, open containers and possession of a fake ID in January of 2007. She remained in the ACC jail Wednesday afternoon with a bond set at $80,000.

"a $353.95 charge to the Polo Club,"
Wait wait wait! She paid her rent with it? How did the victim not notice that much money gone all at once? How was Lirette dumb enough to pay rent with it?

For the rest of this girl's life she'll have a felony conviction for a CoolWrap combo. They should put this girl in a commercial. "What would you do for waffle fries?"

It was another female who she once knew. a crack head can break into 40 cars and rob 11 people but his bond would have been lower than this girls.
