Gym Dogs NCAA win on national TV Saturday

CBS will televise the NCAA Gymnastics Championship on
Saturday at 2 p.m., giving Georgia fans a chance to relive the Gym Dogs' fifth straight and 10th overall national title.
Georgia's NCAA title capped the career of Coach Suzanne Yoculan, who posted more than 800 victories in her 26-year career.
CBS reporters and producers did several interviews with Georgia's coaches and student-athletes over the course of a four-day period in Lincoln, Neb., last month. Tim Brando and Amanda Borden handled the play-by-play and analysis, respectively.
Georgia won the NCAA title with a score of 197.825, its second-best score of the year, to outdistance second-place Alabama¹s 197.575 and third-place Utah's 197.425.
Senior Courtney Kupets, the Honda Award winner for gymnastics, won the all-around, bars, beam and floor titles and posted three perfect 10.0s at the meet.
The Gym Dogs had a 197.45 in the opening session of the NCAAs to advance to the Super Six. Kupets, Tiffany Tolnay, Grace Taylor, Courtney McCool and Kathryn Ding combined for 13 All-America citations in the first day of competition.
