Zinkhan's body to be cremated

The remains of the former University professor George Zinkhan were released to his family on Friday.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman John Bankhead said the body was released Friday to Mortuary Shipping Service in Atlanta to be cremated. The ashes will be sent to Zinkhan's son, George Zinkhan IV of Utah.
The remains were GBI medical examiner's office since they were found in a shallow grave on Saturday.

That is a shame. This man had a nice life at one point and a loving family. Now nobody wants his body for a proper burial. I feel sorry for the guy. The pain he must have went through in his final days and hours must have been brutal. (Continued…)

I cannot bring myself to feel bad for this guy. Anyone who can do what he did deserves all the wrath the afterlife has to offer. I do, however, feel for his family. (Continued…)

The one person I feel the most sympathy for in this whole business is Dr. Barbara Carroll, whose warnings about Zinkhan went unheeded by an uncaring and apparently sexist administration at the Terry College. (Continued…)

This whole article is mean, and not up to the usual HIGH standards of RED AND BLACK. It may be that the relatives don't want to make themselves retaliation targets for any perceived wrongdoing that the Zinkster might have been associated with. (Continued…)

Dr. Carroll evidently attempted to alert the campus to Zinkhan's problematic behavior but faced the common cold shoulder of avoidance. How many of us have feared being sitting ducks on campus, but had no viable outlet for communicating? No one will listen when you report professors who harass, intimidate, write disgusting blog posts about others. (Continued…)

If Barb Carroll hadn't cried wolf so many times in the past, people might have more sympathy for her now.
As it is, I think a lot of us who have been puttin up with her are secretly giggling that she has been given a scare, and shown the door to her own academic career. (Continued…)
