The Georgia softball advanced to its first Women's College World Series with a 7-6 comeback win against Ohio State at UGA Softball Stadium Friday.

Center fielder Taylor Schlopy hit the game-tying 3-run home run in a five-run sixth before Brianna Hesson, hit a game winning-single.

Senior Christie Hamilton earned the victory in 6.1 innings in relief of the ineffective Sarah McCloud and finished the game with a dramatic strike out of OSU's Courtney Pruner, who hit a grand slam in the first inning.

"I'm so proud of this team," Georgia head coach Lu Harris-Champer said. "They worked so hard all season."
