Former UGA women golfers faring well in pro golf tournaments

Former Georgia golfer's Whitney Wade, Garrett Phillips, Kelly Froelich and Mallory Hetzel all competed in the Horseshoe Casino Classic held in Hammond, Ind., over the weekend.
The tournament was a part of the Duramed Future's Tour and was contested at the Lost Marsh Golf Course. Proceeds benefited the Lake Area United Way.
Following an outstanding performance last weekend, Wade continued her strong play and placed first among all four Georgia players. She tied for 24th place overall, shooting a three-round score of 76-70-75 for a 221, earning $834.
Phillips did not fall far behind Wade, shooting a 70-74-78 for a total score of 222. She placed 31st with a number of others and received $763 in earnings.
Following behind Phillips came Froelich, scoring a 77-70-77. She generated a three-round score of 224 and was awarded $689 in earnings.
Hetzel closed things out for the former Georgia standouts, scoring a 75-69-91-235. Hetzel placed 71st and received a prize of $612.
