Despite the small increase, customers continue to eat at Lafonda Dawgs.
"I try to come at least two times a week," said Sloan, who works for the University's Physical Plant.
Sloan said he started coming six to eight months ago for "cheap, good food for a good price.
"[Washington] is a good guy to talk to," he said. "I've been telling my co-workers to stop by and try it out."
Terrance Woodbury, recent University graduate and former basketball player, eats at Lafonda Dawgs two to three times per week as well.
"I don't usually fix hot dogs myself and these are probably the best hot dogs around town," he said.
Washington mans his stand Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Lafonda Dawgs is a family-oriented network doing high quality things in all areas, Washington said. They also cater events - most recently in May when NFL Houston Texan Dante Robinson visited his alma mater, Clarke Central High School.
For Washington, serving people in the University community is what keeps him focused on doing a good job, he said.
"I've got the best job in America. Period."
