Student has serious injuries after hit by car

A student remains in Athens Regional Medical Center Friday morning with serious injuries after she was hit by a car on South Milledge Avenue Thursday afternoon.
Laura M. Fralin, a third-year student from Marietta, was walking across South Milledge Avenue north of Henderson Avenue at 3:43 p.m. when a Nissan Frontier driven by Billy L. Halle, of Duncan Springs Drive, struck her in the center turn lane.
Fralin was taken to Athens Regional Medical Center for treatment.
